Pouzolzia zeylanica (L.) Benn. Var. microphylla (Wedd.)W.T.Wang is spreadingover the500meters above sea level of plain or hilly grassland, tanabe or slope. Itwas also known as nongjianxiao, chuononggao, banongao in the folk. It has the effects of eliminating heat and inflammation,decreasing pus and rot, diminishing poisonand growing flesh.It is almost for the treatment of sores,gangrene,mastitis,enteritis,diarrhea,urinary tract infections and so on.This paper studied the Chemical compositionsof Pouzolzia zeylanica (L.) Benn. Var. microphylla (Wedd.)W.T.Wang to explore thematerial basis of its efficacy for the further research and development.Pouzolzia zeylanica (L.) Benn. Var. microphylla (Wedd.)W.T.Wang was extracted by75%ethanol, then the extraction was extracted by petroleumether, chloroform,ethyl acetate, n-butanol successively for the various parts of the extraction.19compounds were isolated from chloroform, ethyl acetate, n-butanol fractions with manycolumn chromatography methods.Their structures were identified by kinds of spectroscopy technologies as:2-(1-(3,6-dihydroxyphenyl)-2-hydroxyethyl)-3,3-bis(4-hydroxy-3-methoxyphenyl)propyl acetate(1),2,5-bis(4-methoxy-3-epoxylphenyl)-3,4-bis(3,5-dihydroxyphenyl)-tetrahydrofuran(2),5-(1-hydroxy-4-(4-hydroxy-3,5-dimethoxyphenyl)-4-(4-hydroxy-3-methoxyphenyl)-3-(hydroxymethyl)butan-2-yl)benzene-1,3-diol(3),5-(1-hydroxy-4-(4-hydroxy-3,5-dimethoxyphenyl)-4-(4-hydroxy-3-methoxyphenyl)-3-(hydroxymethyl)butan-2-yl)benzene-1,3-diol(4),Apigenin-8-C-β-D-glucopyranoside(5),quercetin-3,7-O-α-L--2-rh amnoside(6),quercetin3-O-β-D-rutinoside-7-O-α-L-rhamnoside(7),fiedelin(8),epifriedelinol(9),β-sitosterol(10),stigmasterol(11),daucosterol(12),daucosterolpalmitate(13),22,23-dihydrospinasterol(14),grasshopper ketone(15),Bis(2-ethylhexyl) phthalate(16),benzyl-β-D-glucopyranoside(17),3,4,5-Trimethylphenyl-1-O-β-D-glucopyranoside(18),(4R,9R)-1-Oxo-α-ionol-9-O-β-D-goucopyranoside(19).Compounds Ⅰ to Ⅳare new compounds and in addition to compounds10,12the other compounds were isolated from this genus forthe first time.
