ObjectiveThe purpose of this study was to observe the effect of moxibustion Guanyuan Qihai, Shuifen, Shenque and Zhongwan in the treatment of Yang deficiency syndrome of congestive heart failure, to provides the basis for the moxibustion treatment of congestive heart failure, to broaden the moxibustion clinical application scope and provide a new method to improve clinical efficacy of congestive heart failure.MethodsSelected the patients (92 cases) in Guangdong Province Traditional Chinese Medical Hospital from 2014 May to 2015 March, who were consistent with the diagnosis standard of Yang deficiency syndrome of congestive. Using the method of random number table, divided into the treatment group(Moxibustion with Western treatment) and control group(Western treatment),46 cases in each group. The five acupoints is Shenque, Qihai, Guan Yuan, huifen, zhongwan. During the study, observed before and after treatment in patients with NYHA, Lee’s integral, BNP, average 24 hours out volume, weight, TCM symptom scores and other indicators, at the same time compared the treatment group with the control group.ResultsAfter statistical analysis, the two groups of patients with congestive heart failure compared with no significant differences in gender, age, primary disease, TCM syndrome and LVEF (P> 0.05).After the treatment, the cardiac function in two groups’ patients with congestive heart failure, can be improved, but more significant improvement in the treatment group(P<0.05). TCM syndrome score in evaluating the efficacy of the two groups were decreased after treatment integral (P> 0.05) by statistical analysis, and the score of the treatment group was significantly more integral lower compared with the control group(P<0.05). Lee’s integral of two groups of patients with heart failure decreased significantly after treatment than before (P> 0.05), and Lee’s integral of the treatment group decreased more obviously (P<0.05). There were significant differences for BNP by analysis in two groups failure after treatment (P>0.05), showed that the two group can reduce the BNP, but the BNP in the treatment group reduced more obviously(P<0.05). After treatment, the treatment group were better than the control group on the urine volume of 24 hours and body weight (P<0.05). Patients who were enrolled in this study successfully completed, no patient had serious adverse reactions owing to moxibustion so that treatment interruptions.ConclusionMoxibustion on Guanyuan, Qihai and other acupoint combined with Western medicine therapy of Yang deficiency syndrome of congestive heart failure can improve cardiac function, raise the exercise tolerance, and reduce TCM syndrome integral and the Lee’s integral and the level of BNP, improve the six minutes walking distance, increase 24 hours total urine volume and decrease of body weight, improve fatigue, anorexia, edema, shortness of breath and other symptoms. There were no significant adverse reactions in the process. The clinical therapeutic effect of moxibustion is reliable, simple, easy and less toxic side effect.
