Objective: To investigate the effection of Tang Bi particles on interventing diabetic peripheral neuropathy and neurotrophic factors.Methods: 63 cases accorded with diagnostic criteria of diabetic peripheral neuropathy and TCM syndrome of qi and yin deficiency type winding resistance were divided into treatment group and control group randonly.The control group was treated with basic therapic designs plus mecobalamine while the treatment group was treated with Tang Bi particles plus basic therapic designs,the course of treatment was three months. And main symptoms and signs, nerve conduction velocity, blood sugar and glycated hemoglobin, the expression of serum IGF and VEGF before and after treatment were detected.Results: Comparison of the clinical efficacy of the two groups, the treatment group and the control group the total effective rate were 87.9% and 64.5%, there was significant difference(P < 0.05); the two group symptom scores were significantly reduced, the difference was statistically significant(P < 0.05), the treatment group and the control group comparison, points better than the control group, the difference was statistically significant(P < 0.05); the two group the main clinical symptoms were improved compared with before treatment, the control group the treatment group curative effect on limb pain, limb numbness, paresthesia, Shenpi fatigue and cold extremities than, statistically significant difference compared with the control group(P < 0.05), that is better than the treatment effect sugar Wangbi granules group. Nerve conduction velocity were improved after treatment in the two groups, the treatment group before and after treatment, the difference was statistically significant(P < 0.05), nerve conduction velocity and the improvement in the treatment group than in control group(P < 0.05), showed that the sugar Bi granule can obviously improve the sensory, motor nerve conduction velocity. Two groups of serum IGF and the expression level of VEGF before and after treatment, two groups of serum IGF and VEGF were regulated by, the difference was statistically significant(P < 0.05); and the treatmentgroup was superior to the control group, the difference was statistically significant(P < 0.05); the two group after treatment, comparison, the expression of serum IGF and VEGF content is different(P < 0.05), showed that the sugar Wangbi granules can regulate the serum IGF-1 and VEGF levels.
