Objective: Observe the clinical effects of Tang MoningDecoction in treating diabetic peripheral neuropathy (DPN)and discuss its mechanism in this aspect.Methods: 80 patients who were in line with the diagnos -is of DPN were divided into two groups randomly with 40 i n Tang Moning Group and 40 in Methycobal Group, Another 40DM patients without microvascular and macrovascular disea -ses were chosen as the comparing group. There is no stati stic difference in the duration of the disease , age, sex between these three groups .They are comparable. Observe t he clinical manifestation , hemorheology, ThromboxaneB2 (TXB2) , 6-Keto-PGF1α, and changes of the electromyogram of the pa -tients in comparing group and DPN group both before and a fter the treatment.Result: In the DPN patients, TXB2 increased obviously, the 6-Keto-PGF1α decreased obviously. The speed of nerve con duction was slowed down . After taking in Tang Moning Deco ction. the clinical manifestions of the pationts are improv ed. the indexes like hemorheology, TXB2, 6-Keto-PGF1α, elect romyogram were also improved. They had obvious differencescomparing with the Methycobal Group after statistic treat ment.Conclusion: Tang Moning Decoction can alleviate the pa tients' clinical manifestation and improve the hemorheolog -y by rectifying the imbalance of TXB2, and 6-Keto-PGF1α. Atthe same time, it shows its function in lessoning the dis -turbance of microcirculation, raising the speed of nerve conduction and repairing the nerves of DPN patiends obviou sly.
