ObjectiveMinimally invasive method TACE, cryosurgery, radio frequency.ablation) is important treatment in curing liver cancer. It has been more and more powerful in treating the terminal-stage liver cancer patients that who have lost the operation opportunity.during to the improvement of the clinical equipment, technology and the safety of the minimally invasive method. Recently, more and more reports indicate that whether Traditional Chinese Medicine use alone or combined with other treatment in curing diseases.it has show a good effect. Then we think whether TCM combined with other treatment can increase the prognosis. Therefore this research hope to evaluate whether the mode of Traditional Chinese Medicine combined with minimally invasive surgery could shoe a clinical value. Methods:This study was an inception cohort study. Firstly, according to the different exposures, the qualified cases which were selected from the First Affiliated Hospital of Guangzhou University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, were divided into two groups, which were the group of pure TCM and the group of TCM combined with minimally invasive method. Secondly, we filled in the qualified cases information collection table, and follow-up the patients to the specific time or the perinatal outcome(lose of follow-up, death and disease on malignancy progression). Then we use the T test and chi-square test to examine whether the two groups had the same base lines. Finally, the endpoints of the two groups, such as OS and was used to evaluate the two groups survivals(survival curves),and cox regression analysis was used to evaluate the influencing factors in curing liver cancer. Results:The 136 patients which were selected from the the First Affiliated Hospital of Guangzhou University of Traditional Chinese Medicine were adopted to inception cohort study. The base lines of the two groups were the same(such as age, gender, grade of Child-pugh, liver function, the stage of the cancer, the rate of HB infection, the grade of KPS, and so on). From the method of survival analysis, we find that the median survival time in the group of TCM combined with minimally invasive method, is 661days, half-year survival rate is 89.9%, one-year survival rate is 70.5%, two-year survival rate is 45.8%, three-year survival rate is 16.2%, while the median survival time in the group of pure TCM is 158 days, half-year survival rate is 44.2%, one-year survival rate is 21.4%, two-year survival rate is 8.6%, three-year survival rate is 0%. And the median progression-free survival in the group of pure TCM is 145days, half-year progression-free survival rate is 33.3%, one-year progression-free survival rate is 11.1%, two-year rate is 0%, while the median progression-free survival in the group of TCM combined with the Minimally invasive method is 203days, half-year progression-free survival rate is 57.4%, one-year rate is 37.0%, two-year rate is 11.1%, three-year rate is 3.7%. The log-rank test shows the difference of the survival curve between the two groups. The cox test shows that the therapeutic, stage of KPS, syndrome differentiaton of TCM, are the independently factors, and P<0.05, Which means that it has significant difference and the curative effect of the group of TCM combined with minimally invasive method is more obviously precedence the group of pure TCM.ConclusionBoth of the method of pure TCM and the combined with Minimally invasive method can increase the survival time, the disease-free survival progression, and the prognosis. Because this research includes many syndrome differetiation of TCM and less of cases, the difference of the survivsl curves between the syndrome differetiation of TCM have no significance,, which demand intensive study.
