Chinese prescription based on patient’s clinical syndromes method is an advance diagnostic method. This method has recently becomes more important for its simple and fast to master characteristics. The TCM practitioners found this method very flexible and more accurate for diagnosis and prescribing.This study is based on the above method to carry out a standard and scientific research on’Guizhijialonggumuli Tang’prescription. By collecting, analyzing and summarizing the statistic of the cases of using this prescription, the study has concluded the main syndromes of this prescription, the additional symptoms, the etiology, the way of diagnosis based on the syndromes, the method of diagnosis and the modification of the herbs of this prescription. The conclusion of all these factors is used to establish a diagnostic system.Method:1. Cases collection:Based on the China website resource CNKI, retrieve and select the clinical cases of’Guizhijialonggumuli Tang’prescription from medical journals/magazines/books since year 1979 to 2014.2. Information processing:Process the selected cases of their related diseases, syndromes, appearance of the patient’s tongue and pulse pattern, and the usage of herbs.3.Data processing:Use SPSS 13.0 software for data analysis and study on both Chinese and Western method of diagnosis, the syndromes of the disease the percentage and tendency characteristics of patient’s tongue and pulse pattern. Use the analyzed syndromes to establish exclusive data for this prescription.4. Data summarizing:Use the related theory information and reference to ancient and modern TCM practitioners’ideologies, to conclude the etiology, method, prescription and clinical usage.Result of study:Through the study, the main syndromes, the additional symptoms, the characteristics of appearance of the patient’s tongue and pulse pattern, the etiology, the way and method of diagnosis and the modification of herbs of this prescription are established.
