Chinese prescription based on patient’s clinical syndromes has recently becomes an important and scientific method of diagnosis in this new era. The method is based on the most effectively used prescription, with abundant of clinical experiences, extensive of knowledge and information as its main factors, so that the method is simple and easy to master.This method is more flexible and practical during clinical application. Based on this method, a more scientific and standardized way of research on BanxiahoupuTang prescription is carried out.This study gathered 161 proven effective clinical cases of BanxiahoupuTang. Modern statistics system was used to classify, summarize and conclude the main syndromes of BanxiahoupuTang, the side symptoms, the appearance of the patient’s tongue and the pulse study as its reference points.Lastly, by using the system to make an overall analyzing of BanxiahoupuTang, which including the aetiology, the mechanism pathway, the standards of diagnostic, the principles of treatment and the herbs modification pattern of this prescription, in order to achieve the research objective of correlating the syndromes and the prescription.
