Objective:To investigate the relationship between different parameters of blood pressure and Left Ventricular Diastolic Function in Patients with Hypertension. Methods: The study was performed on 137 hypertension patients. These selected patients were inquired for case history and given physical examination, ambulatory blood pressure monitoring, echocardiography and blood biochemistry detection. Measure the inner diameter of left and right atrial during end-systolic period left ventricular diameter of end diastolic period, ejection fraction by echocardiography to analyze the left ventricular diastolic function. We use E/A fraction to evaluate the left ventricular diastolic function. Classify the selected patients into two groups according to their E/A fraction. The group with E/A>1 is normal left ventricular function group (n=54), the group with E/A< 1 is left ventricular dysfunction(n=83). Measure ambulatory blood pressure and do the blood biochemistry detection. Analyze the correlation between left ventricular diastolic function and the parameter change of patients’ 24hour blood pressure by using chi square test..Results:In group E/A< 1,24h SBP was higher than those of the group E/A>1, there were significant differences (P<0.05)..Conclusion:Left ventricular diastolic function is positively related to 24h SBP in the patients with essential hypertension.
