Expression And Significance Of HIF-1α And Livin In Laryngeal Squamous Cell Carcinoma

Objective: By detecting the expression of HIF-1α and Livin which are closely relevant to laryngeal squamous cell carcinoma, the author explores their clinical significance and relevance.Methods:By employing SP immunochemical technique to detect the expression of HIF-1αand Livin in 52 laryngeal squamous cell carcinoma and 28 tumor-adjacent tissue cases, then devide the cancer tissues in to different groups by age, clinical staging, Pathological grading, lymph node metastasis, the author discusses the relationships of between the above two and clinical parameters as well as Cervical lymph node metastasis.Results: Expressions of HIF-1α and Livin in laryngeal carcinoma were significantly higher than that in normal cancer-adjent tissues(P < 0.05), which bears statistical significance. Expressions of the two factors were significantly correlated with TNM stage and the pathologic stage(P <0.05), and there were no significant correlations between the HIF-1α and Carcinoma pathological classification(P> 0.05), while Livin showed significant correlations with Carcinoma pathological classification(P≤0.05). Both showed no significant differences concerning ages and genders(P>0.05). There was no significant correlation between the expression of HIF-1α and Livin.Conclusion: The hig expression of HIF-1α and Livin in laryngeal squamous cell carcinoma are closely correlated to tumor TNM staging and lymph node metastasis. By detecting the mentioned two factors is of help to diagnose laryngeal squamous cell carcinoma and evaluate the grade of its maglinancy, which contributes to clinical research and treatment of laryngeal squamous cell carcinoma.
