The Value Of Bushendaozhuo Granule In Treatment Of Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia

Objective:To investigate the role of Bushendaozhuo Granule in treatment of benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH).Methods:120 cases of clinically diagnosed BPH were randomly assigned them to control group (35 cases) and the treatment group (45 cases).The control group received 5mg of doxazosin (Cardura) 4mg, every night. The treatment group were given Bushendaozhuo Granule (per 200ml,2 times everyday), both for 4 weeks. Before and after the treatment, we obtained the International Prostate Symptoms Score (IPSS), Quality of Life (QOL), bladder residual urine volume (RU) and TCM syndrome score, and calculated the total curative effect and the total effective rate of diseases and syndromes, simultaneous recording of adverse events during treatment.Results:112 cases of patients complete the 4 weeks of experiment finally, including 50 cases in the control group,62 cases in experimental group. There was no obvious adverse reaction. In the control group, IPSS score decreased from 17.88 ± 2.89 to 12.48 ± 2.48 (P<0.05), QOL score from 4.74 ± 0.85 to 3.18 ± 1.19 (P<0.05), Qmax from 8.42 ± 2.83 to 11.38 ± 2.62 (P<0.05), RU from 48.26 ± 3.66 to 37.5 ± 2.85 (P<0.05), symptom scores from 7.36 ± 1.03 to 5.38 ± 0.88 (P<0.05), disease in the total efficiency of 76%, syndrome of traditional Chinese medicine to the total efficiency of 72%. In the treatment group, IPSS score decreased from 18.15±2.99 to 10.18 ±2.39 (P<0.05), QOL score from 4.79±0.77 to 2.27±0.75 (P<0.05), Qmax from 8.25 ± 1.91 to 16.38 ±2.93 (P<0.05), RU from 46.81 ± 3.38 to 30.51 ± 2.15 (P<0.05), symptom scores from 7.71 ± 1.08 to 4.22 ± 0.95(P<0.05), disease in the total efficiency of 90.3%, TCM syndrome total efficiency of 88.7%. Besides, And the situation in IPSS, QOL, Qmax, RU, and the total curative effect of TCM syndrome of the disease, and the total effective rate were improved in treatment group better than the control group (P<0.05).Conclusion:The Bushendaozhuo Granule can rapidly improve IPSS, QOL, Qmax, RU, TCM syndrome of BPH patients, which is better than doxazosin. The Bushendaozhuo Granule plays an important role in improving lower urinary tract symptoms and systemic symptoms of BPH. This provides a set of practical and effective treatment for clinical treatment of BPH.
