Objective:To discuss the relevance of international prostate symptom score with prostatic volume, intravesical prostatic protrusion,Qmax, residual urine volume, body mass index of the benign prostatic hyperplasia patients. Methods:Collecting and analyzing the relative data by urinary system ultrasound and urine flow rate, to deduce the Calculation method of IPSS score. Results:There were significant correlation for IPSS score with prostate volume (P=0.025); with intravesical prostatic protrusion (P=0.000); with Qmax (P=0.000). While there were no significant correlation for IPSS score with body mass index significantly (correlation=-0.054, P=0.603).In the end, if definite the IPSS score as the dependent variable,Qmax, residual urine volume and IPP as the independents, the regression equation will be obtained. IPSS=24.202+1.587*IPP(cm)+0.033*RUV(ml)-0.469*Qmax(ml/s)(F=13.2 73,P=0.000).Conclusion:The prostate, IPP, Qmax and residual urine volume was significantly related with IPSS. The formula of the IPSS score can be estimated with the data of IPP、Qmax and residual urine volume.
