| Objective: In order to detect the levels of oxidative stress of patients withpemphigus and bullous pemphigoid,determinning if the autoimmune blisteringpatients have oxidative stress in the body,and deeper study its pathogenesis.Methods: Determined by spectrophotometry15cases of pemphiguspatients,15cases of bullous pemphigoid patients and15healthy control theactivity of total antioxidant capacity (T-AOC) levels and antioxidant enzymesincluding superoxide dismutase (SOD), catalase (CAT), glutathioneperoxidase (GSH-Px) from serum. Determined by immunohistochemical SP15cases of pemphigus patients,15cases of bullous pemphigoid patients and10healthy control the levels of8-iso-prostaglandin F2α in lesions. Record thedata mentioned above and manage statistic analysis with SPSS17.0, Allnumerical data were presented with mean±standard deviation(x±s),t test wasused to compare differences among groups. the grouped data used chi squaretest, take Pearson bivariate correlation to analyse the correlatiom,P<0.05wasthought of statistical significance.Results:1ã€The SOD activity was (35.408±5.322) U/ml,CAT activity was (4.475±1.999) U/ml,GSH-Px activity was (271.252±96.927)U/ml and T-AOC level was (12.565±1.987) U/ml in the serum of patientswith pemphigus. In the serum of patients in bullous pemphigoid,the SO D activity was(33.076±2.962)U/ml,CAT activity was (4.318±1.487)U/ml,GSH-Px activity was(266.109±49.721)U/ml and T-AOC level was (11.006±2.298)U/ml. The serum SOD activity was(30.767±2.898)U/ml,CAT activity was (3.187±0.818)U/ml,GSH-Px activity was(479.383±40.451)U/ml and T-AOC level was (8.836±2.011)U/ml inpatients with healthy controls. Both serum oxidative stress indicators ofpemphigus and bullous pemphigoid compared with healthy controls weresignificantly increased (both P <0.05). The serum GSH-Px activity ofpemphigus and bullous pemphigoid compared with healthy controls were significantly decreased (P <0.01).2ã€The lesional8-iso-PGF2α levelswere (51.029±26.960)(×10-3)in pemphigus and(14.189±10.478)(×10-3)in bullous pemphigoid,and The lesional8-iso-PGF2α levels of healthycontrols was(4.220±2.690)(×10-3), pemphigus and bullous pemphigoid compared with healthy controls were significantly increased (both P <0.01).3.8-iso-PGF2αlevels with GSH-Px activity,SOD activity,CAT activity and T-AOC levels were no significantly correlated in pemphigus andbullous pemphigoid.Conclusions: Pemphigus and bullous pemphigoid patients have oxidative stress,for example, the increased of oxidation products, the changesof antioxidant capacity and so on. Oxidative stress may play a role in the onset and formation of lesions. |
