[Purpose]To explore the correlation between pleural effusion removal by warming Yang to resolve fluid-retention therapy and expression of aquaporin4in Small intestine of aquaporin regulation.[Methods]Forty-eight healthy Wistar rats were randomized into three groups including the treatment group with warming yang to resolve fluid-retention therapy, the model group and the normal control group,there were twelve rats in each group.The pleural effusion mold was formulated by1%Carrageenan injection.and using X-ray irradiation pathological evaluation of the model after24hours.The treatment was applied in two hours after molding for once a day and incessant4days.Then the rats were killed at5days after molding.Collecting the small intestine tissue,the AQP4expression in each group was tested with immunohistochemistrical method.[Results]Compared with the normal control group,the AQP4expression in the model group was statistically lowered(P<0.05); Compared with the model group,the AQP4expression was stronger than that in the treatment group (P<0.05).and there was no significant compared with the normal control group (P>0.05)[Conclusion]Warming Yang to resolve fluid-retention therapy raising the AQP4expression in small intestine of pleural effusion rat.
