Objective: To analysis the relationships between the serum level of soluble vascular adhesion protein(sVAP-1) and HCV RNA load, ALT, AST, γ-GT, TBil, Alb and hyaluronic acid (HA) in patients withchronic hepatitis C(CHC), to explore the role of sVAP-1as inflammatory factor on the pathogenesis ofchronic hepatitis C.Methods:90CHC patients were enrolled in this study, In our research,90cases CHC patients were divided into2groups:30cases serum HCV RNA negative (CHC1gruop) and60cases serum HCV RNA opsitive (CHC2gruop);30cases healthy individuals were enrolled in our research..Informed consent was undergo venous blood collection on an empty stomach, centrifugal supernatant,-70refrigerator frozen storage. The serum levels of sVAP-1and HA were determined by ELISA; Liverfunction was assayed by automatic biochemistry analyzer; the level of serum HCV RNA in patients withCHC was measured by real-time polymerase chain reaction(PCR). Normally distributed data weresummarized as mean±standard deviation, and intergroup comparisons were made by t-test or analysis ofvariance; Non-nonmally distributed data were presented as median with interquartile range, and intergroupcomparisons were made by Wilcoxon test; Correlation analysis among index were made by spearman test.Results:1. In CHC and healthy control groups, the level of serum of sVAP-1were (148.54±48.60),(72.23+35.82)ng/ml (t=9.187, P=0.041);2. In CHC and healthy control groups, the level of serum HA were (140.09±47.96),(75.07±24.09) ng/ml(t=4.047, P=0.048);3. The levels of serum sVAP-1in CHC patients with normal ALT, mildly elevated ALT, evidently elevatedALT were (96.69±29.48),(128.88±21.81),(187.79±30.04)ng/ml (F=84.30, P<0.001); the levels of serumHAwere (89.36±27.66),(110.91±27.63),(149.19±30.16)ng/ml (F=33.01, P<0.001), respectively;4. The level of serum sVAP-1in the patients with HCV RNA positive was higher than in the patients withHCV RNA negative, the level of sVAP-1was no significant difference between each group of HCVinfectors (P>0.05);5. Significantly positive associations were highly between serum sVAP-1and HA, ALT, AST, γ-GT,TBil(γs=0.804,0.661,0.715,0.372,0.434, P<0.01), the level serum of sVAP-1was negatively correlated withalbumin (γs=-0.484, P<0.01), and was not positively correlated with HCV viral load (P>0.05).Conclusions:1.sVAP-1can be responsible for liver inflammatory injury and hepatic fibrosis process in patients withchronic hepatitis C.2.The level of serum sVAP-1was associated with HCV replication in patients with chronic hepatitis C.
