Objective:This paper aims to evaluate the relation between serumsST2level and chronic heart failure(CHF) prognosis by meta-analysis,and provides relevant reference for the clinical diagnosis and prognosisevaluation of chronic heart failure. Methods:Literatures which involved relation between sST2andCHF prognosis are searched in MEDLINE, Embase, Cochrane Library,Web of Science, Chinese Biomedical Literature Database, CNKI, VIP andWANFANG Databases. All literatures are assessed by the inclusion andexclusion criteria, quality assessment. Hazard ratio (HR) and95%confidence interval (CI) in each literature are extracted for meta-analysisusing STATA MP13.0for MAC software. The stability and reliability areevaluated by sensitivity analysis and publication bias analysis. Results:Eight study literatures complying with the requirements areincluded. The total sample size is6869patients with chronic heart failure. The Meta-analysis shows: heterogeneity test shows that the significantheterogeneity between studies, using random effects model combinedstatistics show that in the case of not rule out other factors, HR=1.36, 95%CI1.23to1.50, as a result, there is statistical significance (P <0.05),indicating a high level sST2and poor prognosis of patients with chronicheart failure with significant correlation; After rule out other factors, HR=1.17,95%CI1.07to1.26, the results show that the high level of sST2correlation with prognosis of chronic heart failure, and suggest sST2levels may be independent risk factors affecting the prognosis of patientswith CHF. Sensitivity analysis shows that the result is relatively stableand reliable. Begg ’s test and Egger’ s test show that there is nopublication bias.Conclusion:1. High levels of serum sST2may have Predictive value to poorprognosis of patients with chronic heart failure;2.High serum levels of sST2may be an independent risk factor ofthe poor prognosis in patients with chronic heart failure;3. Monitoring serum sST2level change on evaluating the treatmenteffect and prognosis of patients with chronic heart failure risk is of greatsignificance.
