Study On The Chemical Consituents Of Gelsemium Elegans In Xishuangbanna

This thesis constists of two chapters. The chemical constituents of Gelsemium elegans Benth in Xishuangbanna, YunnanProvince were studied in the first chapter. Through referring to the literatures, the chemical constituents and bioactivities of Loganiaceae are reviewed in recent years in the second chapter.Chapter1Study on Chemical Constituents of Gelsemium elegans Benth in Xishuangbanna of Yunnan ProvinceGelsemium elegans Benth is a kind of wild evergreen vine, which belongs to Loganiaceae, Gelsemium. Gelsemium elegans Benth widely distributes in Southeast Asia and North America. In China, this plant mainly distributes in Yunnan Province, Guizhou Province, Guangxi Province, Fujian Province, Hainan Province, etc. Gelsemium elegans Benth mainly grows in the brush in500-2000meters above the sea level. Gelsemium elegans Benth is poisonous, but was used as medicine, which is used to treat many diseases such as traumatic injury, rheumatism palsy, eczema, carbunde swollen, furunculosis, neuralgia, scabies infection and so on. Besides, it has the behaviour of analgesia, anti-inflammatory, antineoplastic mydriasis and so on.Gelsemium elegans Benth has a good medicinal value. Researchers recently discovered alkaloids, which is the main chemical constituents of Gelsemium elegans Benth. The article studied the chemical constituents of Gelsemium elegans Benth from Xishuangbanna, Yunnan Province by the method of HPLC, column chromatography and thin-layer chromatography. Fifteen compounds are isolated from Gelsemium elegans Benth. The compounds are mainly alkaloids, steroids, trierpenes, phenolic acids, phenylpropanoids etc.Chapter2Advances in the Research on the Chemical Constituents and Bioactivities of Gelsemium elegans BenthGelsemium elegans Benth belongs to plants of Loganiaceae. Gelsemium elegans Benth, which is widely distributed in our country, and have a very good medicinal value. This part is based on many literatures, review the chemical constituents and bioactivities of Loganiaceae in recent years. Finally, alkaloids were the main ingredient in the plants of Gelsemium elegans Benth. Alkaloids have a bioactivities and used for the treatment of some diseases. The researchers has isolated the compounds of phenylpropanoids and coumarins recently, and discovered that these two compounds had observable bioactivities. Because the Gelsemium elegans Benth has a observable bioactivity and medicinal value, so the part has summarized the chemical constituents and bioactivities of the plant, which provide reference for the future research of genus Loganiaceae.
