This thesis is composed of two chapters. chapter 1 focused on the purification and elucidation of chemical and biological components from stem barks of Illicium macranthum A. C. Smith and the fruits of Illicium simonsii Maxim. Chapter 2 expounded the natural products coming from different origins which has inbibition function on acetylcholinesterase. It has great importance for further research on natural products with activity of anti-AchE.Add water to methanol extraction of stem barks of Illicium macranthum A. C. Smith and dissolve, then extract the solutions with petroleum ether and chloroform. Combining various methods of separation and spectral analysis techniques, 23 compounds were isolated from chloroform laye of Illicium macranthum A. C. Smith stem barks and 19 compounds were indentified. They are monoterpene, sesquiterpenoids, lignin, flavone, steroids and so on. Anti-AchE activity was carried out on some of them. Compounds 1, 3, 6, 13, 18 were obtained for the first time from it.Add water to methanol extraction of llicium simonsii Maxim fruits and dissolve, then extract the solutions with chloroform and petroleum ether. Main components of this two extraction are same by TLC analysis, so merged and studied. 14 compounds were isolated from this extraction and 13 of them were indentified. They are knowen compounds including sesquiterpenoids, lignin, flavone, steroids and so on. Anti-AchE activity was studied on some of them. Compounds 26 and 29 were identified for the first time from fruits of llicium simonsii Maxim.
