Objective: To discuss the correlation between the changes of the levels of sex hormones and patients with cirrhosis, chronic liver diseases of male and cirrhosis of postmenopausal female. Methods: We adopt the prospective study methods, March 2013 to October 2014,in Digestive department and Liver department of The first people’s hospital of Lan Zhou city, a total of 124 cases inpatient were collected, including 42 cases male patients with cirrhosis(liver function Child-Pugh grade A in 18 cases, B grade 14 cases, C grade 10 cases), 32 cases of patients with chronic hepatitis, including 28 cases of patients with chronic hepatitis B, 4 patients with chronic hepatitis C; 10 male patients with liver failure; 40 cases of postmenopausal women in patients with liver cirrhosis(16 cases, liver function Child-Pugh grade A in 14 cases, 10 cases of grade B level C). Collecting 42 cases of health check-up men and postmenopausal women in the control group. All subjects were aged between 42-79 old, average 58.12±2.83 years. They were not applied drugs that could effect of sex hormones(such as ethinylestradiol and cyproterone acetate octreotide acetate, prednisone, etc.).Determination of all subjects with serum E2, FSH, LH, PRL, PROG, TSTO and DHEA-SO4 levels of sex hormones. To obvesve characteristic changes of sex hormone levels in patients with cirrhosis, chronic liver diseases of male and cirrhosis of postmenopausal female, analyze its correlation with liver function. Using SPSS19.0 statistical processing, count data using chi square test, measurement data with mean ± standard deviation(c± s), mean compared with single factor analysis of variance, correlation analysis with Spearman statistical method, P<0.05 had statistical significance.Results:1. Male patients with chronic hepatitis, cirrhosis, liver failure patients and the control group analysis, serum sex hormone levels in group E2 respectively is: 63.12±22.23pg/ml, 37.03±10.77pg/ml, 292.70±55.40pg/ml and 26.64±6.07pg/ml, FSH respectively is: 6.98±2.38 ml U/ml, 6.71±2.31 ml U/ml, 7.82±1.80 ml U/ml, 4.43±0.92 ml U/ml, LH, respectively is 5.78±2.42 ml U/ml, 6.56±0.82 ml U/ml, 3.38±0.54 ml U/,PRL respectively is: 456.99±134.57 m IU/L, 258.08±96.99 m IU/L, 471.91±73.97 m IU/L and 163.25±11.44 m IU/L, TSTO respectively is 4.32±2.26nmol/ml, 5.35±0.65nmol/ml, 5.12±0.98nmol/ml and 5.44±0.97nmol/ml, DHEA-SO4 respectively is: 138.19±63.26g/d L, 21±4.12g/d L, 50.82±6.25 and 211.55±26.23 g/d Lg/d L, are statistically significant difference among the three groups(P<0.05). PROG: no statistical significance respectively is 0.44±0.23ng/ml, 0.45±0.77ng/ml, 0.71±0.91 ng/ml, 0.49±0.07ng/ml difference among the three groups(P>0.05). Men with chronic hepatitis, cirrhosis and liver failure patients with serum E2, FSH and PRL levels increased gradually, was correlated with the severity of disease, TSTO and DHEA-SO4 decreased, and has negative correlation with disease severity. LH level in chronic hepatitis liver cirrhosis, liver function, hepatic failure and control group had no obvious regularity.2. Male patients with liver cirrhosis liver function Child-Pugh grade, Grade A,class B, class C and control serum hormone levels in group E2 respectively is:43.94±8.24pg/ml, 64.29±7.06pg/ml, 96±10.64pg/ml and 26.64±6.07pg/ml, 8.52 for FSH±1.13 ml U/ml, 7.81±0.35 ml U/ml, 3.03±0.29 and 4.43±0.92 ml U/ml U/ml, PRL: 333.28±58.00 m IU/L,495.62±48.12 m IU/L, 625.58±91.06 m IU/L and 163.25±11.44 m IU/L,7.61±1.54 ml U/ml, 6.79±0.70 ml U/ml, 11.20±1.14 ml U/ and 3.38±0.54 ml U/ml, TSTO respectively is: 6.84±0.67nmol/ml, 2.41±0.15nmol/ml, 2.46±0.07nmol/ml and 5.44±0.97nmol/ml, DHEA-SO4 respectively is: 209.76±3.69g/dl, 88.36±8.68g/dl, 79.11±10.46g/dl and 211.55±26.23g/dl, are statistically significant difference among the three groups(P<0.05), PROG were 0.43±0.23ng/ml, 0.40±0.25ng/ml and0.50±0.22ng/ml and 0.49±0.07ng/ml, are not statistically significant difference among the three groups(P>0.05). Levels of serum PRL, E2, Child-Pugh in male patients with liver cirrhosis with graded gradually increased, and was positively correlated with TSTO and DHEA-SO4 levels, liver function grade of Child-Pugh was decreased, negative correlation. LH and FSH and liver function Child-Pugh grade have no obvious regularity. The correlation analysis showed that E2, Spearman, FSH, LH,PRL and serum sex hormone levels of PROG and Child-Pugh grading of livercirrhosis were positively correlated, negatively correlated with TSTO and DHEA-SO4, with statistical significance(P<0.05).3.Cirrhosis in postmenopausal women with Child-Pugh grade, Grade A, class B,class C and control serum sex hormone levels in group E2 were: ml 44.20±7.20pg/ml,164.25±17.88pg/ml, 287.38±15.13pg/ml and 5.11±0.63pg/ml, FSH respectively is90.56±7.31 ml U/ml, 68.58±7.30 ml U/ml, 47.64±1.77 ml U/ml and 47.54±7.44 ml U/m,PRL: 435.73±23.89 m IU/L, 382.70±14.89 m IU/L, 401.48±14.00 m IU/L and 327.00±53.72 m IU/L, PROG respectively is 0.20±0.04ng/ml and 0.32±0.07ng/ml, 0.40±0.05ng/ and 0.21±0.04ng/ml, TSTO: 0.06±0.01nmol/ml, 1.19±0.16 nmol/ml, 0.59±0.06nmol/ml and 0.10±0.01nmol/ml, DHEA-SO4 respectively, are statistical significance 17.49±1.35 g/d L, 26.31±2.10, 27.91±3.01 g/d L and 43.86±7.68 g/d L difference among the three groups(P<0.05). Cirrhosis of the liver in postmenopausal women with E2 and PROG levels in patients with liver function Child-Pugh grade level increases, a positive correlation; FSH, PRL, TSTO, DHEA-SO4 level and Child-Pugh grade had no obvious regularity. The correlation analysis showed that E2,Spearman, FSH, LH, PRL and PROG, TSTO of serum sex hormone levels and Child-Pugh grading of liver cirrhosis were positively correlated, negatively correlated with DHEA-SO4 serum sex hormone levels and Child-Pugh grading of liver cirrhosis, are statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusions:1. Male with chronic hepatitis, cirrhosis and liver failure in patients with serum E2, FSH and PRL levels gradually increased, positively correlated with the degree of disease; TSTO, DHEA-SO4 decreased, and has negative correlation with disease severity. Showing that the serum E2, FSH, PRL, TSTO, DHEA-SO4 levels can assess the degree of liver function damaged.2. Male patients with liver cirrhosis E2, PRL level and Child-Pugh grade were positively correlated, but was negatively related to TSTO, DHEA-SO4 level and Child-Pugh grade.3. Cirrhosis of postmenopausal female with E2 and PROG levels with ChildPugh grade gradually increased, FSH, PRL, TSTO, DHEA-SO4 level and Child-Pughgrade have no obvious regularity.4. E2, FSH, PRL, TSTO and DHEA-SO4 levels can reflect male patients of the degree of liver function damaged. While the E2 and PROG levels reflect women of the degree of liver function damaged.
