Levetiracetam For Migraine In Rat Plasma Calcitonin Gene Related Peptide And The Influence Of The Content Of Nitric Oxide

Objective:To observe levetiracetam to nitroglycerin cause migraines in rat plasma calcitonin gene related peptide and the influence of the content of nitric oxide.Methods:Will be 24 clean and healthy male Wistar rats by randomization is divided into four groups, respectively named as blank control group, model control group, high dose treatment group and the low dose treatment group, blank control group given saline subcutaneous injection, the remaining three groups given nitroglycerin subcutaneously.Start the time after each group building, in addition to the blank control group in the rest of the three groups of feeding, respectively in 30 minutes, 60 minutes, 180 minutes three time points, samples of rat given subcutaneous injection of nitroglycerin migraine model, respectively using enzyme-linked immune sorbent assay(ELISA)determination of calcitonin gene related peptide(CGRP) and nitrate reduction method for determining the content of nitric oxide(NO), and within each group and each group were compared.Results:High-dose medication group, low dose of medication every time point in plasma calcitonin gene related peptide and nitric oxide content compared with the blank control group was statistically significant(P < 0.05).High-dose medication group, low dose drugtreatment group each time point in the plasma calcitonin gene related peptide and nitric oxide content compared with model control group was statistically significant(P < 0.05).Conclusions:High-dose medication group, low dose of drug treatment can reduce the migraine rats model of plasma calcitonin gene related peptide(CGRP) and the content of nitric oxide(NO), and found that give high dose treatment group in reducing calcitonin gene related peptide and the trend of nitric oxide on low dose treatment group obviously, the experimental results suggest levetiracetam can treat migraine.
