Objective: First to understand the current status of pediatric nursing human resources in Fuzhou three level hospitals; to understand the job satisfaction of pediatric nursing staff and to know the real reasons for nurse’s turnover, then analyses the current problems of pediatric nursing human resource in Fuzhou three level hospitals; finally to provide suggestions for stabilizing pediatrics nursing troop.Methods: ①Literature research methods: according to the research purpose, reviews the concept and nature of the human resources, the concept and characteristics of human resources for health, the concept of nursing human resource and nursing human resource research situation at home and abroad. ②Field survey: to obtain qualitative and quantitative data for this research through the questionnaire survey and the telephone interview. ③Health statistical methods: mainly used descriptive statistical method shows that Fuzhou City pediatric clinical nursing human resources situation and existing problems.Results:①The basic situation of three level hospital pediatric ward building in Fuzhou City:there were 8 hospitals with pediatric ward and fixed medical staff,which include five general hospitals, two specialist hospitals, one traditional Chinese medicine hospital.They opened 852 beds, with 231 doctors and 439 nurses. ②The basic situation of pediatric nursing human resource in Fuzhou three level hospital: doctor-nurse ratio was 1:1.90,bed-nurse ratio was 1:0.52.Doctor-nurse ratio was 1:2.43,bed-nurse ratio was 1:0.56 in specialist hospitals, slightly higher than the general hospitals(doctor-nurse ratio was 1:1.61, bed-nurse ratio was 1:0.48);the doctor-nurse ratio and bed-nurse ratio were different among different properties pediatric ward.The PICU bed-nurse ratio was 1:1.51,more than other properties pediatric ward.The proportions of professional title for nurse,primary nurse were 47.15% and 40.55%.Educational background:advanced and higher diploma(71.07%), college(17.54%), secondary(11.39%).60% nurses for the contract nurses; pediatric nurse turnover rate reach 6.07% per year. ③Satisfaction of pediatric nurses in three level hospitals in Fuzhou City, overall satisfaction was 91.31 ±14.54;Significant differences were found in the total Nurse Job Satisfaction Questionnaire’s score assessment according to related factors, such as employment contracts,practicing years, post and rank, night shift, average income, and so on.(P < 0.05).④The turnover nurses interview mainly reflected the following problems: the nursing workload was big, high pressure, high family expectations; low salary, turn to the weaving difficulty; pediatric nurses physical quality was not adapt to the high load for a long time work; Humanistic care was not enough in nursing management. Conclusions: ① Fuzhou three level hospitals pediatric nursing human resources allocation was inadequate. ② Fuzhou three level hospitals pediatric nursing human resource professional title structure was unreasonable. ③ The total degree of job satisfaction was at the medium level.④Nurses loss increased.Suggestions:①Adequate configuration pediatric nursing human resources, establish effective useful balanced mechanism.②Perform the nurse hierarchical management. ③To perform separate title appraisal system, construct a reasonable talent team.④Improve the pediatric nurses’ job satisfaction, and reduce the loss of nurses. ⑤To strengthen the "people-oriented" management model, promote pediatric nurses’ physical and mental health.
