Objective:To analyze EPIDEMIC characteristics and trends of hepatitis A from 1999 to2014 in Jiangxi Province, find out hepatitis A Immunization coverage rate and Supplementary immunization effect in key areas of Jiangxi province, and study the relationship between them. To explore scientific and effective hepatitis A prevention strategy, evaluate objectively of the effect of hepatitis A vaccination; explore and develop the best immunization program further,to reduce the incidence of hepatitis A.Methods:1.Epidemiological data of hepatitis A from 1999 to 2014 obtained from disease reporting system in Jiangxi Province and demographic data obtained from statistical yearbook in statistics bureau of Jiangxi Province were analyzed by descriptive epidemiological method, using SPSS18.0.2.To carry out mass vaccination of hepatitis A attenuated live vaccine for chi-ldren from 18-month-old to 12-year-old who do not have the history of hepatitis illness and hepatitis A vaccine(Children born from January 1, 1997 to April 30, 2007)in Yudu, Ruijin, Wanan, Yuanzhou, Wanzai in 2009.To collect and analyze vaccination data and hepatitis A incidence from 2003 to 2014 in key areas using descriptive epidemiological method. The hepatitis A vaccination rates hepatitis A incidence were analyzed by SPSS18.0.Results:1.The yearly average incidence rate of hepatitis A is 6.7302 /lakh in Jiangxi province from 1999 to 2014, the overall incidence of hepatitis A had declining trend(χ2= 30956.867, P <0.001).2.The yearly average incidence rate of hepatitis A from 1999 to 2007 is higher than the yearly average incidence rate from 2008 to 2014, the difference was significant statistically by the statistical tests(χ2=319997.944,P<0.001)。3.The Hepatitis A incidence is not seasonal different obviously in Iiangxiprovince from 2001 to 2014. There are more Hepatitis A cases from march to may.4.The yearly average incidence rate of hepatitis A of Jingdezhen City, Yichun City, Yingtan City are the top three. The yearly average incidence rate were lowest in Shangrao City. There are regional differences in the incidence, the difference was statistically significant(χ2 = 2820.768, P <0.001).5.The incidence of hepatitis A in males was higher than in females in Jiangxi Province, incidence ratio between male and female was 2.01. The difference was statistically significant(χ2 = 1652.242, P <0.001).Hepatitis A cases were mainly based on children and adolescents in Jiangxi Province in 2014. The number of cases from0 to 14 age group accounted for 49.04% of the total incidence; for occupational distribution, the most cases were farmers incidence, followed by preschool children and students.6.The yearly average incidence rates of hepatitis A from 2003 to 2007 were lower than the yearly average incidence rates from 2003 to 2007 after the hepatitis A vaccine into the Expanded Programme on Immunization. The difference was statistically significant(P<0.001).7.The yearly average incidence rates of hepatitis A from2009 to 2010 were lower than the yearly incidence rates in 2008 after hepatitis A vaccine mass vaccination in Yudu, Ruijin,Yuanzhou,Wanzai in 2009,.The difference was statistically significant P<0.001).The yearly incidence rates of hepatitis A were of no significant change from2010 to 2014 in Yudu, Ruijin, Yuanzhou, Wanzai. The difference was not statistically significant.Conclusion1.Hepatitis A incidence present declining trend in Jiangxi Province. The prevention and control effect of Children hepatitis A vaccine immunization is more obvious, and the level of population immunity was improved. However, reported cases of hepatitis A are still concentrated in 0-14 age group, suggesting that the prevention and control of key populations is still children in kindergartens, primary and secondary schools.Higher incidence of farmers suggesting that to take comprehensive measures to prevent future-oriented, strengthen propaganda healtheducation, to further reduce the incidence of viral hepatitis.2.Hepatitis A incidence rate decreased significantly after taking hepatitis A vaccine into the expanded national immunization programs in Yudu, Ruijin,Yuanzhou, Wanzai, Wanan. After natural disasters, to carry out mass vaccination of hepatitis A vaccine in the affected areas in preventing effectively the outbreak of hepatitis A, which can reduce the incidence of hepatitis A. It should be further explored researched in future to develop best immunization programs and maintain vaccination rates of hepatitis A vaccine to reduce the incidence of hepatitis A chances.
