Objective:To offer a new auxiliary diagnostic gist for indentifying the benign and malignant of the thyroid tumor through the detection of the expression of CK19 and Galectin-3 in different thyroid tumor.Method:The 80 cases of thyroid tumor tissue specimens,including of 40 cases of thyroid papillary cancer and 40 cases of thyroid adenoma operation specimens from January 2012 to December 2013,were collected from the first hospital of Shan Xi Medical University.Immunohistochemical method was used to detect the expression of CK19 and Galectin-3 in 80 case operation specimens of thyroid tumor.Chi-square test was used in comparison of sample rate between the two groups(test level α=0.05).Result:The positive rate of the CK19 in the thyroid papillary cancer and thyroid adenoma was 100%(40/40)and 37.50%(15/40)respectively.it is considered that the difference of the two groups is statistically significant(p<0.05);The evaluation results of CK19 in the differential diagnosis of benign and malignant thyroid tumors showed that the sensitivity was 100%, the specificity was 62.50% and the diagnostic accordance rate was 81.25%;The positive rate of the Galectin-3 in the thyroid papillary cancer and thyroid adenoma was 80.00%(32/40)and 25.00%(10/40),it is considered that the difference of the two groups is statistically significant(p<0.05).The evaluation results of Galectin-3 in the differential diagnosis of benign and malignant thyroid tumors showed that the sensitivity was 80.0%,the specificity was 75.0% and the diagnostic accordance rate was 77.50%.Conclusions:The positive expression of CK19 and Galectin-3 in thyroid papillary cancer wassignificantly enhanced,which can be used as important auxiliary diagnosis indexes in the differential diagnosis of benign and malignant thyroid tumors,combined detection can improve the diagnosis rate of thyroid cancer.
