The Clinical Observation Of Acupoint Catgut Embedding With Carbamazepine Levetiracetam On Complex Focal Seizures Of Temporal Lobe Epilepsy

Objective:The study aimed to investigate the clinical efficacy of acupoint catgut embedding therapy with carbamazepine on complex partial seizures of temporal lobe epilepsy in patients. Compare acupoint catgut embedding therapy and carbamazepine with only using carbamazepine to terat complex partial seizures of temporal lobe epilepsy, for acupoint catgut embedding provides the theory basis for intervention in the treatment of epilepsy,looking for more convenient and effective method for the disease treatment.Method:The study in the first affiliated hospital of Heilongjiang chinese medical university as a research center, outpatients and inpatients as research object, After computer generated random serial number, patients were randomly divided into treatment group and control group, each group of 30 csses. the control group was treated with oral carbamazepine, treatment group treat with catgut implantation at Dazhui(GU14) and Yaoqi(EX-B9) on the basis of oral carbamazepine,the two groups were treated for 3 months. At the end of treatment, comparing two groups before and after TCM syndrome integral, treatment seizure frequency, electroencephalogram (EEG) and quality of life score four effect.Result:1. The treatment group and the control group after treatment in TCM syndrome score than before,there were significant difference (P< 0.01 treatment group, control group P<0.05), there were significant difference between the two groups (P<0.05);2. The treatment group and the control group after treatment in the frequency of attack than before,there was extremely significant difference(P<0.01), there was no significant difference between the two groups (P>0.05);3. The treatment group and control group after treatment in EEG score than before,there were significant difference (treatment group P<0.01, control group P<0.05), there were significant difference between the two groups (P<0.05);4. The treatment group and control group after treatment on the quality of life scores,there were significant difference (P<0.05), there was significant difference between the two groups (P<0.05).Conclusion:1. Catgut implantation with oral carbamazepine on complex partial seizures of temporal lobe epilepsy has good clinical curative effect;2. Catgut implantation with oral carbamazepine can effectively improve the temporal lobe epilepsy EEG integral and quality of life.
