ObjectiveThe aim of this study was to know the current situation of the health promoting lifestyle for patients with alcoholic liver disease,by comparing the changes of health promoting lifestyle in patients with alcoholic liver disease before and after intervention,to discuss the application effects of stage-based behavior change model on health-promoting lifestyle of patients with alcoholic liver disease.Providing the basis for promoting patients’ healthy way of life and a reference for future related research.MethodsUsing the convenient sampling method to select each 40 local patients with alcoholic liver disease from two third class A hospital in Changchun as the research object.In order to avoid contamination effect, setting them as the control group and intervention group,research subjects are all met the inclusion criteria and informed consent.Among them,the control group had health education by routine method and intervention group had nursing intervention of stage-based behavior change model based on the conventional health education,the intervention time last for six months.Using patients general information questionnaire and health promoting lifestyle scaleⅡ(HPLP-Ⅱ)and the lifestyle change stage assessment questionnaire to carry out the baseline assessment and intervention assessment about the health promoting lifestyle changes of patients with alcoholic liver disease before and after the intervention and analyze the related influence factors.A database about patients’ general informationand related scores was established by Epi Data 3.1 and Excel 2003,then make a statistical analysis using the statistical software of SPSS13.0.The general characteristics were described by descriptive statistical analysis.The count data were compared by chi-square test, Comparison between groups used independent sample t-test, group compared by paired samples t-test,The three periods before and after the intervention were compared by ANOVA,when p<0.05 means the difference has the statistical significance.Results1.The intervention group and control group respectively perform self-matching about the health promoting lifestyle total score and each dimension score of patients with ALD before and after the intervention,results showed that the differences were statistically significant(P < 0.05).When compare the total score and each dimension score of patients with ALD of intervention group and control group after three months intervened, it showed in the four dimensions of health responsibility,nutrition,exercise and self-realization the differences of score were statistically significant(P < 0.05),but in the dimensions of stress management and interpersonal support showed the difference has no statistical significance.Comparing the two groups’ health promoting lifestyle total score and each dimension score of patients with ALD after six months intervened, it showed that all were statistically significant(P < 0.05).2.When compare the intervention group and control group’s dimensions of health responsibility,nutrition,exercise and self-realization between before the intervention and after intervened three months and six months.The difference before intervention has no significance(P>0.05),but The differences of intervened three months and six months had statistical significance(P < 0.05).3.When compare the intervention group and control group’s dimensions of stress management and interpersonal support among before intervention,after intervened three months and six months,it showed that there was not a significant difference on the former and P>0.05,but there was a significant difference on thelater one(P < 0.05).Conclusions1.conventional health education and stage-based behavior change model both can improve the overall level of health promoting lifestyle of ALD patients.2.The health education under the guidance of stage-based behavior change model has a better effect than conventional health education on the level of health promoting lifestyle about ALD patients.3.Stage-based behavior change model can improve the ALD patients’ willingness and enthusiasm to change their behavior,encouraging patients to change from junior stages to senior stages.4.Stage-based behavior change model overcame the deficiency of the transient change model and had a positive effect to promote the behavior change of patients.
