Objective: To inquire the relationship between plasminogen activator inhibitor(PAI),tissue plasminogen activator(t-PA),soluble vascular cell adhesion molecule 1(sVCAM-1),endothelin(ET)and nitric oxide(NO)and the evolvement of diabetic retinopathy(DR)in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus(T2DM),and to find a simple, economic and effective method for DR diagnosis. Methods: From January 2015 to December 2016,150 diabetic patients were selected from the Department of Ophthalmology and Endocrinology, the First Affiliated Hospital of Xinjiang Medical University. At the same time 56 people, which were healthy, were chosen as control group. They accepted routine examination in the First Affiliated Hospital of Xinjiang Medical University. In the light of fundus fluorescein angiography(FFA),diabetic patients were segregated into without retinopathy group(NDR group),non-proliferative retinopathy group(NPDR group)and proliferative retinopathy group(PDR group),and 60?57 and 33 cases were respectively divided into every single group respectively. The concentration levels of fibrinolytic enzyme activation inhibitor(PAI),tissue-type plasminogen activator(t-PA),soluble vascular cell adhesion molecule 1(sVCAM-1),endothelin(ET)and nitric oxide(NO)in the serum of the different stage of diabetic retinopathy were measured. Results: PAI concentration in PDR group was significantly different from that in NDR group,NPDR group and control group(F=7.04,P <.005);t-PA concentration was no significantly different from that in DR in each period(F=3.603,P >.005);However,there sVCAM-1 level was not significantly different among the four groups(F=0.855,P >.005);ET content in NPDR,NDR and control group was significantly different from that in PDR(F=8.050,P <.005);There was significant difference in NO content between the patients with or without DR and control group(F=6.105,P <.005);Conclusion: The serum PAI concentration is different in different stages of DR,and PAI-1 activity is decreased in the end stage of DR.However, the concentration levels of t-PA and sVCAM-1 were not remarkably related to the progress of DR.The severity of DR was positively correlated with the serum concentration of ET.Serum NO level plays n important role in the differentiation of DR patients and healthy group.
