Objective: To study the related factors of the thyroid function in patients with hypertension associated with obstructive sleep apnea-hypopnea syndrome(OSAHS).Method: Hypertension who complaining of snoring at night from the First Affiliated Hospital of Xinjiang Medical University were enrolled and conducted the polysomnography. The patients were divided into 4 groups according to the apnea hypoventilation index(AHI): AHI<10/h for the simple hypertension group(EH group,n=138),10~15/h for the hypertension associated with mild OSAHS group(mild group,n=137), and 15~30/h for hypertension with moderate OSAHS group(moderate group, n=187), AHI≥30/h for hypertension with severe OSAHS group(severe group,n=141). The quantitative level of thyroid function were compared among each groups, and analyzed the related factors of above results. Results:(1) The baseline date of gender, age, smoke, BMI, duration of hypertension, fasting blood-glucose(FBG),triglyceride,total cholesterol, HDL-C, LDL-C, 24-h SBP, had significant difference between the four groups(P<0.05).(2) The severe group TSH were significant difference between the the control group, mild group( P<0.05).(3) The multi-factor Logistic regression analysis indicates that: Male(OR=2.853,95%CI 1.921-4.238),the Severe OSAHS( OR=2.023, 95%CI 1.144-3.579) were the influencing factors of TSH.Conclusion: In the patients of the hypertension associated with OSAHS, male, severe OSAHS as risk factors for TSH; OSAHS as risk factor for thyroid damage.
