An Investigation Of Therapeutic Effect Of Hua Tan Mai Tong In Treatment Of Patients With Carotid Arteries Atherosclerosis

Objective:To observe the clinical effect of Hua Tan Mai Tong in tr-eatment of Carotid Arteries Atherosclerosis.Method:66 patients with Carotid Arteries Atherosclerosis were selected,randomized grouping,divi-ded into treatment group(32 cases) and control group(34 cases). Both groups were treated with aspirin 100 mg Once per day and atorvastatin20 mg once per day;Treatment group on this basis to give Hua Tan Ma i Tong 0.32 g five tablet each time, three times per day. 2 groups of tre-atment for 6 months. To observe the varieties of IMT(intima-media thi ckness),Crouse score,trilyceride(TG),total cholesterol(TC),low density lipoprotein-cholesterol(LDL-C) and high density lipoprotein-cholesterol(HDL-C) in two groups.Result:After the treatment,The treatment group had the better effect of traditional chinese medicine clinical therapeutic(P<0.05).Compared before and after treatment in the two groups, levels of TG, TC, LDL-C decreased significantly(P < 0.05), the level of HD L-C increased significantly(P < 0.05).Comparing with the control group,the treatment group had better effect on decreasing TC, TG, LDL-C, a nd on improving HDL-C(P<0.05).The IMT and crouse score of two gro ups had no statistically significant(P > 0.05).Conclusion:Hua Tan Mai Tong can improve traditional chinese medicine clinical therapeutic effec tand regulate lipid metabolism.
