Objective: Explore the influence of growth and development, hemoglobin values, nutrition, dietary intake, nutritional knowledge, academic performance and common diseases after nutrition health intervention for compulsory education students in yarkand rural. And analyze the factors affecting about intervention, to provide theoretical basis for effectively improve the nutritional status of the poor region compulsory education students in Xinjiang..Methods: Reference “Nutrition improvement plan and nutrition monitoring and evaluation work plan in the rural compulsory education students” of the disease control centers in China, extract 744 students as the research object from eight rural primary and middle school in the yarkant, to carry out nutrition health intervention with one year, collect students’ dietary intake, the nutrition knowledge, common diseases happening, student physical examination, hemoglobin, and academic performance data before and after the intervention, using statistical methods to compare the differences of these indexes before and analyze the factors be affected by intervention. Results:(1)Malnutrition situation and influencing factors before intervention 76 cases malnutrition of 744 primary and middle school students, accounting for 10.21%, pure angular were 58 cases, 12 cases of purely physical growth, growth retardation combined angular for 6 cases, by Logisitic regression, results showed that the influence factors were daily egg(OR=0.398, 95%CI=0.213~0.563), the right amount of salty food cognitive(OR=0.797, 95%CI=0.451~0.932), the cognition of health(OR=0.654, 95%CI=0.432~0.879).(2)Intervention effect explore The intake of nutrients improved obviously after intervention, but intake of vegetables and beans after intervention still lower than the standard reference, and the frequency of the students eat breakfast; the frequency of eat satisfied in breakfast and lunch, were higher than before, the difference was statistically significant(all P<0.05); After intervention the math and Chinese score, and aware of knowledge about nutrition were higher than before, and the rates of malnutrition, cold and diarrhea were lower than before(all P<0.05), obesity rate was no significant differences(P>0.05); Before intervention, six age groups of students in average height and weight were below with the national rural standard, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05), and after the intervention students average height were no statistical significance compared with the national rural values(P>0.05), men’s and women’s weight at the age of 16~17 were below with the national standard(P<0.05); Student’s hemoglobin values close to the low limit of China normal hemoglobin before the intervention and were higher than low limit after the intervention in male and the female. After the intervention, hemoglobin level were higher than before, the difference was statistically significant(P< 0.05).(3) The multiple factors analysis of influence the intervention effect The results showed that the main factor of affecting height growth were diarrhea frequency each year, breakfast can eat, eat meat, gender through multiple linear regression analysis and path analysis; The main factors of weight growth were age, restaurant meal times a day, eat eggs; The main factors that influencing hemoglobin change were diarrhea frequency every year, extra frequency every day, eating meat and vegetable, P<0.05. Conclusion:(1)Through factor analysis of malnutrition occurs before intervention in southern Xinjiang yarkant, tip the students lacked nutrition and health knowledge, needed positive implement the nutrition education intervention.(2)Through nutrition health intervention, students’ cognition of nutrition, nutrition intake, grow and develop, academic performance, hemoglobin content all had ascension in different degrees, and the incidence of malnutrition, cold, diarrhea were falling, prompted the nutrition health intervention has a good effect, was worth popularizing in southern Xinjiang region.(3)Through influence factors analysis of students’ height, weight and hemoglobin growth before and after intervention, prompt that intervention needed the power of the society, school and family, and only according to the students’ physiological and psychological characteristics in different ages, adopt individualized nutritional knowledge education, urge the students to develop good eating habits, reasonable arrangement of meals, actively improve the body resistance, to ensure good intervention effect.
