Purpose:To discuss the curative effects of Qi deficiency and phlegm-blood stasis syndrome of patients with differentiated thyroid carcinoma postoperation by the method of tonifying Qi and dissolving phlegm and removing stasis, and evaluate its safety. Methods:After the operation of differentiated thyroid carcinoma,50 cases of patients with Qi deficiency and phlegm-blood stasis syndrome were selected and randomly divided into the control group and treatment group,25 patients each group. Patients in the control group were treated only with Euthyrox, while patients of the treatment group were treated with both Euthyrox and the decoction of Shenqixiaxiong. For 12 weeks as a course, the patients of two groups were observed after treatment. The values of TSH, FT3, FT4, WBC, Hb, TG, along with the symptom scores, Karnofsky scores were recorded. All data were processed by SPSS 19.0.Results:①Thyroid hormone levels and thyroid globulin:in the treatment group, FT4 and FT3 levels were significantly increased after treatment, while TG and TSH levels were significantly decreased, with statistical significance (P<0.01). In the control group, the value of FT3, FT4 were elevated after treatment but there was no difference (P>0.05), while the value of TSH and TG were significantly reduced, with statistical significance (P<0.05). Compared with the control group, the increase of FT3, FT4 levels and decrease of TSH and TG levels in the treatment group were both significantly greater, and there was statistical difference in the control group (P<0.05).②Peripheral blood white blood cell and hemoglobin:the value of WBC and Hb were significantly elevated after treatment in treatment group, with statistical difference (P<0.01); The value of WBC was elevated after treatment in control group with statistical difference (P<0.05), while Hb were slightly increased without statistical significance (P>0.05). The increase in the value of WBC and Hb in the treatment group was significantly higher than that of the control group. There was a significant difference between the two groups (P<0.05). ③Total efficiency:In the treatment group,16 patients had significant improvement (64.00%), and 8 patients had partial improvement (32.00%), with 1 patient no improvement (4.00%). The total efficacy rate was 96.00%. In the control group,1 patient had significant improvement (4.00%), and 4 patients had partial improvement (16.00%), with 20 patients no improvement (80.00%). The total efficacy rate was 20.00%. The total effective rate of the treatment group was higher than that of the control group with statistical significance (P<0.01). ④Karnofsky score related existence quality:In the treatment group, existence quality of 17 patients was promoted (68.00%),8 patients stabilized (32.00%),0 patients inefficient (0%). In the control group, existence quality of 7 patients was promoted (28.00%),17 patients stabilized (68.00%),1 patient decreased (0%). The Kamofsky scores in the treatment group was higher than that of the control group with statistical difference (P<0.05).⑤The decoction of Shenqixiaxiong uesd qi deficiency and phlegm-blood stasis syndrome of patients with differentiated thyroid carcinoma postoperation is safe. Before and after treatment, blood, urine, stool, liver and kidney function tests of all patients were within the normal range. There was no significant difference (P> 0.05). During treatment, patients did not appear adverse events, such as allergy and so on.Conclusion:The method of tonifying qi and dissolving phlegm and removing blood stasis can regulate the level of thyroid hormones, relieve the clinical symptoms and improve existence quality of patients who suffer from qi deficiency with phlegm and blood stasis syndrome of differentiated thyroid carcinoma postoperation. According to the results, the docoction of Shenqixiaxiong has exact clinical efficiency, which is safe and reliable.
