| Purpose:To observe the effects of Acupoint application on NGFã€VIP and cell factors related to Thl/Th2 on the basic of the prevention and treatment of bronchial asthma. To explorer the potential mechanism which can adjust the neuro immune system of acupoint application.Method:Sixty patients with clinical remission and intermittent seizures or mild episodes of asthma were randomly divided into the treatment group and the control group,30 cases in each group. The treatment group was carried acupoint application in the dog days, altogether three times. The control group was treated with the conventional Western Medicine.The observation period lasts for 6 months. To observe the changes of the acute onset of asthmaã€the syndrome score of lung spleen qi deficiencyã€ACT scoreã€lung function and the level of IL-2ã€IFN-γ〠IL-ã€IL-5ã€NGFã€VIP before and after treatment. Use the spssl 7.0 to do the data analysis.Results:â‘ The average acute attack times:the average acute attack times of the treatment group was reduced to 0.13 times (P<0.01); The difference on the control group was not significant after treatment (P>0.05); After treatment, there were significant differences between the two groups (P<0.05). â‘¡ACT scores:the average ACT scores of the treatment group were increased from 22.47 to 24.13 (P<0.01); The difference on the control group was not significant after treatment (P>0.05); After treatment, there were significant differences between the two groups (P<0.05). â‘¢The syndrome scores of lung spleen qi deficiency:the average syndrome scores of lung spleen qi deficiency of the treatment group were decreased from 8.7 to 4.87 (P<0.01); The difference on the control group was not significant after treatment (P>0.05); After treatment, there were significant differences between the two groups (P<0.01).â‘£ Pulmonary function:The FEVã€FEV1pred% and FEV1/FVC% values of the treatment group were improved after treatment but the difference was not statistical (P>0.05).The difference of the control group on the FEV1ã€FEV1pred% and FEV1/FVC% values was not statistical after treatment (P>0.05);The FEV1ã€FEV1pred% and FEV1/FVC% values of the treatment group were not statistically significant compared with the control group after treatment (P>0.05).⑤ Thl related cytokines:The level of IL-2 of the treatment group was improved after treatment . and the difference was significant (P<0.01). The IFN-y was also increased (P<0.01). The level of IL-2 in the control group was increased after treatment (P<0.01). There was no significant difference in the level of IFN-y (P>0.05). After treatment, there were significant differences between the two groups (P<0.05). â‘¥Th2 related cytokines:the IL-4 and IL-5 levels were decreased than before(P<0.01). In the control group, IL-4 and IL-5 levels were decreased than before, but there was no statistical difference (P>0.05). The IL-4 level of treatment group was significantly lower than the control group (P<0.01) and IL-5 level of treatment was lower than that of control group (P<0.05).⑦NGF:The level of the treatment group was decreased after treatment (P<0.01). There was no significant difference in the level of NGF in the control group after treatment (P>0.05). After treatment, there were significant differences between the two groups (P<0.05). â‘§VIP:The level of treatment group was improved after treatment (P<0.01). There was no significant difference in the level of VIP in the control group after treatment (P>0.05). After treatment, there were significant differences between the two groups (P<0.05).Conclusion:1. Acupoint application in the treatment of asthma clinical remission and chronic persistent period of intermittent and mild attacks of patients is better than single western medicine group in improving asthma acute attack times, act score, the syndrome scores of lung spleen qi deficiency, the stability of pulmonary ventilation function and the clinical effect is more significant.2. Acupoint application can adjust the balance of Thl/Th2 by the adjustment of IL-2, IFN-γ, IL-4 and IL-5.3. Acupoint application also has a certain regulating effect on neuro immune system in patients with asthma by the improvement of NGF and VIP. |
