| Objective: To investigate the effects of Panax Notoginseng Saonins(PNS) on oxidative stress of cardiopulmonary bypass caused to brain damage in rats. Methods: 60 adult male SD rats were selected in this study. 30 of them were used for ensuring the blood available. The others were randomly divided into 3 groups, which were normal group, cardiopulmonary bypass(CPB) group and PNS group respectively. According to drug using time, PNS group was again divided into intravenous infusion pump continued drug using group(WB,n=6), prefilled medication group in CPB(YC group,n=6) and transvenous one-time treatment group after anesthesia in rats(V group,n=6). Ischemic brain tissue was used to prepare tissue homogenate, then contents of malonaldehyde(MDA) and activities of superoxide dismutase(SOD) were detected. According to the instructions of SOD and MDA, to detect the change of SOD and MDA content in brain tissue, measured by colorimetric method. Results: Each group was compared with the normal group, we found that expression of the activity of SOD in rats tissue were better than the normal group, except for CPB group. which V with WB group with significant difference(P < 0.01); The expression of MDA in homogenatein V was significantly reduced(P<0.01), the rest of the no difference between the treatment group. Conclusion: By using PNS in the different time periods in the process of CPB, each group has an inhibiting effect on the oxidative stress, injury after CPB, especially V significantly. |
