Research On Professor Xuli’s Clinical And Academic Experience For Treatment Of Colorectal Cancer Based On Syndrome Differentiation

To study the treatment of Colorectal cancer based on syndrome differentiation according to Professor Xuli’s 3 stages 6 differentiations method. To summarize my supervisor’s main approach in his clinical treatment of colorectal cancer based on syndrome types and the corresponding used formulas and herbs with his experience in the treatment of various kinds of clinical manifestations, and discuss how does Professor Xuli master this disease characteristics as a whole and local, in the combination of disease differentiation and syndrome identification, in macro and micro aspects of it, and analyze TCM advantages. The 3 stages 6 differentiations refers to the treatment process divided 3 stages, the adjuvant treatment period, the treatment maintenance period and the palliative care period. The 6 differentiations include:to identify the disease location, the pathological type, the tumor markers levels, to differentiation the pathogenesis, the syndrome and the associated symptoms. To obtain the anti cancer, anti recurrence and anti metastasis function, to reduce the toxicity and increase the therapeutic efficacy of the radiochemotherapy, improve the patient’s quality of life, prolong the survival time, in order to achieve the goal of "survival with tumor".Method:By collecting Professor Xuli’s outpatient clinical treatment data of 34 colorectal cancer cases,290 herbal prescriptions, using SSPS.23 to sort out, conduct statistical research, analyze, summarize, observe the number and the frequency of the total used herbs, the distribution of the commonly used herbs nature and properties and their meridian tropism.
