Objective:To research the effect of rivaroxaban in deep venous thrombosis in elderly diabetics after total hip arthroplasty. Methods:All of 60 patients who have done total hip arthroplasty were divided into two groups,30 patients with diabetes and 30 patients without complications. The two groups used the same method of anesthesia, and all used rivaroxaban for anticoagulation after the surgery, the coagulation indicators(Prothrombin time PT, activated partial thromboplastin time APTT, Fibrinogen Fib)before and after surgery 2,7,14 days were detected. The lower extremity vascular ultrasound was executed on 7 days later after the surgery. The occurrence of pulmonary embolism and severe bleeding events were been recorded. Results:The incidence of DVT are both 0 in group A and B.There are no pulmonary embolism and severe bleeding events in two groups. The preoperative PT and APTT of group B were lower than group A,the Fib of group B was higher than group A,the difference was statistically significant(P﹤0.05).The postoperative PT,APTT and Fib of group A and was no significant difference compared with group B(P﹥0.05). The four time points coagulation indicators of group B was no significant difference(P﹥0.05).Conclusion:Rivaroxaban for elderly diabetics with total hip arthroplasty have a preventive effect in deep venous thrombosis, and will not have a big impact on blood coagulation, does not increase the risk of postoperative severe bleeding, safe for elderly diabetics.
