Houttuynia cordata Thunb is the overground fresh or dried of Houttuynia cordata of saururaceae plant. It possesses the actions of clearing heat, eliminating toxins, reducing swelling, discharging pus and relieving stagnation.In the clinical application, Houttuynia cordata Thunb can be used to antibacterial, antiviral, allergy, antitumor,anti-inflammatory analgesic, enhance the body simmune function, anti leptospira, dieresis, etc. Carrying out the research about Chemical ingredient chloroform fraction, and looking forward to seek more compounds from Houttuynia cordata Thunb, especially alkaloids compounds.This paper summarizes the phytochemical and pharmacological study of Houttuynia cordata Thunb, the content of the experiment are as follows:The dry Houttuynia cordata Thunb were extracted with 85% ethanol three times. The extraction was concentrated under reduced pressure to a small volume. After adjusting the p H, The concentrated liquor was subejected to solvent-solvent partitioning with chloroform, then concentrated it under reduce press and get chloroform fraction. And adjust it to neutral. The concentrated liquor was subejected to solvent-solvent partitioning with petroleumm ether, ethyl acetate, n-butanol respectively. In this study, chloroform fraction of Houttuynia cordata Thunb were segregated over TLC, MCI, Sephadex LH-20, ODS, and silica gel column repeatedly. 12 compounds were isolated and purified. On basis of spectral and chemical evidence such as 1H-NMR, 13C-NMR, EI-MS and CG-MS etc, structures of 12 compounds wre elucidated. Such as compound 1(+)-isoboldine-β N-oxide,compound2 Piperolactam A, compound3 Liriotulipiferine,compound4 Laetanine, compound5 Telitoxinone, compound6 Isoboldine, compound7 β-sitosterol, compound8(-)-Clovane-2β,9α-diol, compound9 Stigmasterol, compound10 Benzoic acid, compound11 Acantrifoside E, compound12 Dibutyl phthalate. Among them, compound 1, 3-6, 8, 10-12 were isolated from this plant for the first time.This paper summarizes the chemical stucture characteristic of aporphine alkaloids and their spectral characteristics, which enriches the content of the chemical constituents of Houttuynia cordata Thunb and laies the foundation for studying the aporphine alkaloids.
