| Objective: Observation the osteogenic effect of EMPs combined with Bio-Oss repair of beagle dogs periodontal bone defects. Methods: Select 3 male Beagle dogs. The experiment is divided into three groups, with each Beagle dogs of the second and third premolar teeth on the left and right side of the maxillary and the right side of the mandible as the experimental teeth. The left side of the maxillary as the blank control group. The right maxillary as Bio-Oss group. The right side of the mandible as EMPs group.A “U†defect(of 5 mm depth and 3 mm width) was surgically created in each mesial root of the second and third premolar teeth. The blank control group: initial therapy. The Bio-Oss group: initial therapy+ Bio-Oss + Bio-Gide. The EMPs group: initial therapy+ Emdogain + Bio-Oss + Bio-Gide. Execute three Beagle dogs randomly at the time of 12 W after operation. Scan on the head by spiral CT, cut off the operation area to Micro- CT scan, then HE stains and toluidine blue stain. Results: 1ã€According to spiral CT, three groups were observed the formation of new bone at the 12 W after operation. The EMPs group is the best, the minimum is blank control group and the Bio-Oss group center. At the12 W have statistical significance(p < 0.05).2ã€According to Micro-CT, three groups were observed the formation of new bone at 12 W after operation. BV, BV/TV, Tb.N have differences between groups. At 12 W the BV, BV/TV and Tb.N of EMPs group is highest, and the Bio-Oss group is higher than the blank control group. Statistical results show that the three groups are not statistically difference(p > 0.05).3ã€According to HE stain and toluidine blue stain, experimental group can observe a lager number of osteoblast and some freshmen lamellar bone. Blank control group is a small amount of osteoblast and some inflammatory cells. Conclusion: EMPs has a role in promoting periodontal bone regeneration. |
