A Meta-analysis Of Correlation Of Cigarette Smoking With Sperm DNA Integrity Of Infertile Male

Objective:To investigate the effect of cigarette smoking on sperm DNA fragmentation index of infertile male,and to provide a referenceMethods:Database in both English and Chinese,Such as PubMed,EMBASE, Cochrane Database, Medline, CBM, CNKI, etc were retrieved.Two researchers independently selected studies,extracted data and assessed the quality according to the inclusive and exclusive criteria,the literatures about the cigarette smoking affecting sperm DNA fragmentation index in infertile male were screened.Stata12. 0 software was used to analyze the extracted data,and then merged means as SMD values and their 95% CI were reported.Results:In the included 9 valid documents,the merged SMD values and their 95% CI were as follows:0.37(0.28,0.46),(I-squared=31.3%,p=0.168).Conclusions : Cigarette smoking affects sperm DNA integrity of infertile male.
