Objective: Comparing with the low altitude and the plain,the Hb level is higher because of the low oxygen partial pressure.Exploring the impact of High altitude polycythemia on adult male HbA1 c to provide the evidence of of the influence factors of HbA1 c in plateau area.Methods:In this study,we collected during May 2013 to October 2014 at the Affiliated Hospital of Qinghai University Medical Center examination of 172 cases of medical data.Select the han nationality aged between 20 to 75 who localized or moved to an altitude of 2700-3000 m.The 179 cases divided into three groups according to the Hb level,120≤Hb<160g/L for the first group(normal Hb group) of56 cases,160≤Hb<210g/L for the second group(high Hb group) of 61 cases, Hb≥ 210g/L for the third group(high altitude polycythemia group) of 55 cases.Study and analyze the impact of high altitude polycythemia of HbA1 c.Results: 1,there was statistical difference among the thee Hb groups of age,RBC,HCT,(p<0.05); there was no statistical difference among the thee Hb groups of BMI、FBG、HbA1c,(p>0.05);2, the influence factors of adult male in plateau area is FBG,the linear correlation analysis shows that HbA1 c positively relate to the Hb,(p<0.05);3,the influence factors of normal Hb group is age, Hb, FBG, the linear correlation analysis shows that HbA1 c negatively relate to the Hb,(p<0.05);4,the influence factors of high Hb group is the age, the influence factors of the High altitude polycythemia group is FBG,(p<0.05).Conclusion:1,this research shows that the influence factor of adult male HbA1 c is not only affected by FBG and age,when 120≤Hb<160 g/L, HbA1 c has a downward trend with Hb,when Hb≥160 g/L, Hb has no effection on HbA1 c. 2, this research shows that the High altitude polycythemia has no effection on HbA1 c.
