Objective:1、Retrospective study on the clinical effect of Q-switch Alexandrite laser in the treatment of the patients with Nevus of Ota.2、Systematic analysis and discussion of the relevant factors that influence the possible clinical therapeutic effect and the correlation between them. Methods:83 patients with nevus of Ota admitted to the first clinical hospital of shanxi medical university our dermatology clinic from January 2014 to December 2015 were included in this study. Totally 83 cases of the nevus of Ota have been treated by Q-switched 755 nm laser and followed up. All related clinical information and the patients were gathered. Two doctors who did not involved in the treatment and the patients evaluated the efficacy together according to the comparison of before and after treatment photos. Each clinical features were analyzed for statistical data with SPSS system to partial correlation, with P<0.05 for the difference has statistical significance. Results:Follow-up results: After 1 to 6 times laser treatments, all 83 Ota patients reached mild improvement or much more improvement. Among all of them, 44 patients were totally complete clearing(53%);27 patients were significantly improved(32.5%);and 12 patients were moderately improved(14.5%). Besides, the incidence of hyperpigmentation and blisters were 2.4% and 14.4% respectively. Age of onset was negatively correlated with efficacy, which has a significant difference statistically(r=-0.256 P<0.05). Lesions color was negatively correlated with efficacy(r=-0.598 P<0.05),while treatment number was positively correlated(r=0.700 P<0.05). Lesion area, energy course of disease and effect has no significant difference statistically. Conclusion:Q-switched 755 nm laser shows many advantages in Ota, such as easy operation and therapeutic confirmatory. While laser treating, the fluence of laser should be directly estimated according to the response of the treatment area, the experience of the doctors and the therapeutic part. Numbers of treatment, color and age of onset have a certain impact on treatment efficacy. Numbers of treatment has the maximum impact on efficacy. Although laser treatment of Ota patients has its safety, there still are several complications in few people because of many kinds of factors’ combined action.effective in treatment of nevus of Ota. So, when we are pursing better effect, the complication should be paid attention too.
