Based on the extraction and purification of the hydrophilic compounds of Salvia miltiorrhiza Bunge, Salvianolic acid B(SalB) with the purity of 95% could be prepared by 30% ethanol extraction, purified by D101 macroporous resin and polyamide column. The extraction processes were studied and the optimium condition was determined. The influential factors to the stability of SalB were on the research. The result indicated SalB was stable in low temperature, pH value, and in dark condition. The hydrolysis of Sal B was studied in the purpose of getting more salvianolic acids. Acid-hydrolysis,base-hydrolysis and heating hydrolysis were investigated. The TLC and HPLC detection methods of hydrolysis were established separately. The hydrolysis methods were determined and several hydrolyzed products were separated and confirmed. The acid hydrolyzed products were complicated and one of them was obtained and identified as Danshensu. Heating degraded products were identified as Danshensu, Procatechuic aldehyde, Salvianolic acid D, A, Lithsperimic acid according to HPLC performance and MS data. The variation tendency of these products was studied. Danshensu and Procatechuic aldehyde, as the final products, are on the rise all the time while the intermediate products: Salvianolic acid D,A,Lithspermic acid were on the rise firstly and then on the decline. Base hydrolyzed products were identified as Lithspermic acid, DanshensuNa.and Salvianolic acid D.By screening from 10 strains of Fungus, 3.2004 Cunninghamella echinulata var.verticillata was chosen to microtransform Salvianolic acid B and the result was analyzed by HPLC and TLC. The result indicated the 3.2004 which can catalyze the hydrolysis had hydrolase activity.
