The dissertation is composed of five parts, the literature summary, the technology of processing of Cortex moutan, the preliminary study on processing mechanism (Chemical composition), the study on the standardization of quality standards and fingerprints. The main research contents and results were as follows:1 The literature summaryThe modern literature summary: evaluate and analysis on chemical, pharmacological and clinical application of Cortex moutan .2 Study on the technology of processing of Cortex moutanThrough the small-scale test in laboratory and the small-scale test by pilot equipment, we determine the processing technology of pilot and draft the specific parameters of technology---- frying temperature 280℃; Frying time 5 min.3 Study on chemical composition and processing mechanismComparing the chemical composition of Cortex Moutan and Paeonol carbon, to reveal processing mechanism. The results show that the content of Gallic acid and 5-HMF increased after processing; that of Paeonol which has the function of anticoagulant, drops; that of flavonoids - Quercetin, Su-kaempferol, Isorhamnetin, also drops.4 FingerprintStudy on fingerprint by HPLC of TCM by the reference of Paeonol,in the aspects of Extraction method, Mobile phase, Column, Chromatographic conditions and so on. The result shows that the method of fingerprint is simple and reproducibility. It can be used in studing the fingerprint of Paeonol carbon with the Specifically property .5 Study on the standardization of quality standards5.1 Identification: Making Microscopic identification on Paeonol carbon. Identify the total flavonoids by methods of chromatography and spectrum.seting up the identify method of TLC.5.2 Checking: Making the checking study on ten batchs of Pilot Products in the aspects of Water, Ash, Extract, Heavy Metal, Arsenic Salt and so on.5.3 Quantitative Research: using the HPLC, we set up the method of determination of the Gallic acid from Cortex moutan. The result show that the Gallic acid Content of all Pilot Products is higher than 0.6mg/g.
