Language input is an important way for language learners to master the language.For those Chinese learners overseas,teachers’ language input is their main source ofaccess to Chinese language. The quality, quantity of teacher’s language input hasrelationship with what the learner expect to get from the teacher of Chinese language.This study focuses on the Chinese teachers language input in overseas elementaryChinese classroom,and selected twelve class videos announced in Confucius InstituteOnline as the research material. The elected videos is "Happy Chinese" textbook-based,teaching chinese beginners of English-speaking children. Students are taught in smallclasses by experected teachers.The author observed the video,recorded the teacher language and student languagethe in paper.The author analysed the teacher language speed, the proportion of Chinese inclass and the recurrence rate of new words. The result of the analysis shows thatfirstly,teachers spoke slowly consciously in class in order to make students understood.Secondly, teachers use much more native language than target language in class. Thirdly,teachers consciously strenthen the repeat race of new words. Forthly, teachers use otherway to make language input better.
