The cleaning and researching of variant forms contributes to the specification of Chinese characters, it is also able to provide information on the history of Chinese characters. Bricks Unearthed In Turpan experience300y ears which are taking the Northern Dynastiesto to Tang Dynasty.It is as important as t he academic value of Unearthed Documents In Turpan. Bricks study was confined to historical research all through the ages, it is still rare on philology research. In order to make up for this deficiency,the writer will research the variant forms of Bricks Unearthed In Turpan. On one hand this work can enrich the variant forms warehouse of Han Dynasties and The Sui And Tang Dynasties,On the other hand it is also able to snoop the using status of Chinese characters.First of all,the writer will emendate for the Bricks,such as characters.Interpretations. Punctuations, but focuse on characters. The purpose of this work is to make the research materials more realistic and reliable. The results are reflected in the second chapter.On the basis of the emendation, the writer will count the variants of the Bricks exhaustively and made of the word table and then make classification research.There are ten kinds. Such as Coming from ancient,Simplify,More complex,Becoming the same,Becoming difference, Replacement, Mark, Running Script and Cursive become a Regular script,Component displacement,New characters of Wu Zhou. Inorder To find some evolution rule of variant forms,the writer will make a detailed description for each kind both in the synchronic plane and lasted plane separately.Finally, the writer make some theoretical discussion on the basis of the classification research,such as characteristi cs,reasons.
