As an important and difficult point of "Teaching Chinese as a Second Language"(TCSL), teaching of Chinese function words plays a more value role, especially the teaching of prepositions. Among the oral Chinese of Thai students in and out of the class, there is a large amount of errors about the prepositional frame "Zai X Shang/Zhong/Xia/Li". Therefore, it’s necessary to have a acquisition research of Thai students on the errors of the Chinese prepositional frame "Zai X Shang/Zhong/Xia/Li".Firstly, this paper systemically analyzes the very common usages of Chinese prepositional frame "Zai X Shang/Zhong/Xia/Li", which includes syntactic analyzation, semantic analyzation and the appearing situation of the preposition "Zai" and other position words.Secondly, according to analyzing the errors of the Chinese prepositional frame "Zai X Shang/Zhong/Xia/Li" from the HSK motive composition corpus of Beijing Language and Culture University and compositions of Thai Students in Southwest University, the errors are divided into four categories:the absence, misuse, misplacement and disorder of "Zai X Shang/Zhong/Xia/Li". And the analyzation shows that the four categories of errors arranged in the following descending order:absence>misplacement>misuse>disorder; and on the other hand, the errors of the four prepositional frames of "Zai X Shang/Zhong/Xia/Li" arranged in the following descending order:"Zai X Shang">"Zai X Zhong">"Zai X Li">"Zai X Xia".Based on the error analyzation, we find the main reasons for errors which are inter-transferring of native language, over-generalization of target language, defects of books and teaching methods, the complication of the target language and so on. Finally, aiming at the above reasons, we point out some useful teaching suggestions:enhancing the contraction and analyzation (CA) of the language including inter-language CA and intra-language CA; arranging the students’books rationally, which means valuing the integrity of the prepositional frame of "Zai X Shang/Zhong/Xia/Li" and the repetition of the language points in the students’books; developing teachers’ function, which refers to that teachers should use the books neatly according to different students and supplement inadequacy to develop students’language learning; consolidating research on Chinese language, it’s better to edit the all research achievements as a dictionary or book, which must be more efficient and convenient to students’learning.
