It is requested that knowledge should be conversed to productivity in the era ofthe knowledge-based economy. The practical human resource is welcomed. Themiddle level managers are the mainstay of the enterprise and their managementquality has a close relation with the enterprise’s development. In view of theimportance of the middle level managers in enterprise, the paper aim to develop ascientific practice intelligence test used in management selection, training,employment and evaluation, in addition, the paper also aim to explore the existingtheories of practice intelligence and to guide practice.As an important part of practice intelligence, implicit knowledge is the coremeasurement indicator of practice intelligence. The study measured the practicalintelligence of middle managers in enterprise by drawing up an implicit knowledgequestionnaire which consisted of situational judgment tests. The specific proceduresare as follows:(1) the collection of situational projects;(2) the typicality evaluationof situational events;(3)the collection of options;(4) the standardization of options;(5) synthetizing questionnaire, and determining scoring system. The final middlelevel managers’ practice intelligence test contains26situations and each situationcontains two questions and five options(52questions and130options in total). Eachquestion is4score(104points in total). When subjects answer a question correctly,2points are scored and when they answer incorrectly or on answer, no point is scored.The sum of all score subjects getting in each question is the subjects’ final score.The most critical part of the study is the testing of the questionnaire’s reliabilityand validity by measuring practice intelligence of156middle managers in enterprisesacross the country.(1) the internal consistency reliability: the Cronbach ’s Alpha ofscale is0.805, which indicates that the questionnaire has a good internal consistencycoefficient.(2) by calculating test-retest reliability is0.676, which indicates that thequestionnaire has a good test-retest reliability.(3) the study used the workperformance scale as a standard, through calculation, the riterion-related validity is0.371, and have a good criterion-related validity.(4) content validity: dimensionsand items of the questionnaire in this study comes from interviews, literature reviewand the results of the survey. The questionnaire was reviewed by Psychology experts and Master of Psychology several times to ensure the questionnaire has good contentvalidity.
