Our country is vast in territory, rich in natural resources and historical and culturalresources, quantity minorities, covering a wide range. In the context of the rapidurbanization today, ethnic minority areas urban development is not good practice,because of the remote location, low level of urbanization, relatively backward of theeconomic development. So part of minority villages in our country was able to save thegood in the original style; However, as a special class and the majority of the region, itssocial and cultural environment and the natural environment are very fragile. Getu RiverChuandong scenic area (hereinafter referred to as the Getu River Scenic Area) in Ziyunin Guizhou is located in the western remote areas, inhabited by a small amount of theBuyi and Miao people. Where traffic is inconvenience, economy is backward, butrich in natural and cultural resources. Now, with the rise of tourism, Getu River scenicspot of national tourism is ushered in new opportunities. However, the traditional folkculture village protection and development is easy to cause the village be similar style,excessive commercialization, the situation of lack of authenticity.Cultural ecology theory provides a new perspective, which is from the relationshipbetween the ecological environment and human culture to explaincultural morphology and pattern of origin. Features settlement space is considered acomplete cultural ecosystem. The interaction between environment, culture, people ofall factors are shaping each other. With the rise of modern tourism, cultural andecological of external environment changes, the original village culture ecosystemscontinue to external shocks, so in order to maintain the ecological balance of theoriginal system, we must take the necessary planning strategies for maintenance.Cultural ecology theory on how we protect and develop the cultural characteristics ofthe village provides a useful theoretical reference, so that we can more accurately andcomprehensively grasp settlement space culture, and do the protection and developmentand construction well on this basis.In the study of protection of ethnic cultural villages, less in-depth research throughthe angle of culture ecology system. According to the protection and development ofGetu River Hmong village, the paper tries to use the theory of cultural ecology toconstruct the structure of Miao culture, in order to grasp the characteristics and to clearthe content and objects in protection; then put forward some protection and development strategies of Getu River Miao village combining with the actualdevelopment experience.The main body of the paper consists of five parts:The first part, including the first two chapters that is the basic theory research inthe paper. The first chapter briefly describes the research background, origin, purpose,meaning, range of study,content, method and framework. The second chapter mainlyintroduces the domestic and foreign research and development status of the culturalecology theory, focuses on thecultural ecology of urban planning and architecture. Atthe same time, introduces research and development of the theory of special villageprotection and planning. The related concepts involved in the paper are defined.The second part, the Chapter III, analyzes the problems of protection anddevelopment of characteristics of the village today and the value and significance ofthe introduction of cultural ecology.The third part, the Chapter IV; T, by using the theories of the cultural ecology toanalys the natural environment and historical and cultural space of Getu River area,and to be comprehensive interpretation of the Getu River Miao village culture.The fourth part, including articles of Chapters V and VI, on the basis of culturalecology theory, put forward the basic viewpoints,objectives and principlesof Protectionand Development of the Miao culture of Getu River. Used the concepts and analysisthe method of cultural ecology to propose protection and development strategies ofMiao culture of Getu River.The Fifth part, the Chapter VII; concluding section of this article. summarizes themain conclusions of the study and proposes innovative points and the question needs tobe deepened.
