In the period of Chia-ching, Lung-ch’ing and Wan-li of Ming Dynasty, with thecoming of Waeran in the southeast of China and Japanese Invasion of the Imjin Year, afashion of writing Japanese books were popular in individuals of the Ming Dynasty. lotsof writings and many participated people hadn’t appear in previous dynasties. In thefirst chapter, the article will describe the works about Japan of this period. It will beshow by tables from the Japanese monographs, the literatures of anti-Waeran and non-monographs of Japan’s literature.Most of the works about Japan were practical in the defending of Waeran duringthe period of Chia-ching, Lung-ch’ing and Wan-li,. They profoundly reflected the viewsof the people of Ming Dynasty to Japanese. During this period, with the increasing ofwritings and the deepening of the study, the views on Japan and Japanese of people ofMing Dynasty gradually changed.This change is reflected in a few representative works of this period, such as theStudy of Japan of Xue Jun reflected that the author were extremely abhorrent of Waeranand viewed Wonu as a sinister, greed and cunning person, so looked the invaders almostexactly the same as the Japanese; The Compiling of Maps for Managing the Coast andSea of Cheng Ruo-Cheng gradually clarified the boundaries between Wukou andordinary Japanese through visits, surveys and interviewing the returning envoys, etc.simultaneously, the author fairly pointed that the invaders possessed so an considerablefighting that contributing to our own preparatory activity for fighting. The Investigationof Japan of Cheng Shun-Gong further deepened the saying of good and bad forJapanese through the trip to Japan. The Study of Anti-Waeran and Relation betweenMing and Japan of Xie Jie and The Measures of cultivating wasteland for Solving theWaeran of Zhao Shi-zhen reflected that Japan was not the small innocuous countrythrough combination of the views of the previous works and perspectives of Imjin War.By the study of these books about Japan, we can conclude the characters of View ofJapan of Ming, and then we can research the effects of these views.
