Sponsored by the Ministry of Commerce of People’s Republic ofChina and organized by Northeast Normal University, the2013Seminarfor Young Educators from the Developing Countries was held inChangchun, Jilin Province from Oct.28thto Sep.17th. The author washonored to serve as the interpreter for one of the seminars, which is onthe administrative system of education in China.This reflective report is written on the basis of practice, throughwhich the author learned what qualities an excellent interpreter shouldpossess. The adequate time for preparation has guaranteed the quality ofthe interpretation, therefore, there weren’t too many obvious mistakesduring the interpretation and the focus of this reflective report will be onthe difficult points and their corresponding solutions. The authorsummed up a series of approaches to solving these problems by listeningto the recording of the interpretation, inquiring the feedback from theaudiences, summarizing the reflections, and checking the Internet andrelevant books.On the basis of a sound psychological status, the interpreter iscreative in note taking, and updated the memory mechanism throughspecial training. After the elaborate analysis of the interpretation of thisseminar, the author presented the readers a detailed and informativereport on English consecutive interpretation of the seminar through vividexamples and practical skills.
