Report On Consecutive Interpretation Practice Of2013China International Cities Cooperation Forum

With the globalization of economy, there are more and more internationalexchanges in various fields. Interpretation work has become increasingly important.How to solve the difficulties in the areas of translation is very crucial for theinterpreter to complete the work.The author had tried her best to work as an interpreter in the consecutiveinterpretation practice of2013China International Cities Cooperation Forum. Afterthat the author had compared her performance with the transcription provided by theinterpreter, Professor Sun, and objectively analyzed her own mistakes andshortcomings. Combined with what she has learned in college, the author gave thesolutions and strategies of the problems and also summed up the practical methodsin this report.The thesis is divided into the following four parts:The first part is a brief introduction of the background of the project and theinterpretation (in this thesis refers to the consecutive interpretation). The second partis about the two main factors that affect interpretation performance. The third part isoverall performance of the interpreter, combined with the objective study of thetranscription with the summary of the unsatisfactory performance. The fourth part isthe difficulty analysis of CI, including long sentence comprehension and interpreting,and analysis of difficult sentence structure. The fifths part gives somerecommendation and suggestion on improving interpreting quality.
