Based on fifteen-month overseas mandarin teaching experience in Surabaya inZHONGWENSHIJIE Mandarin Institute, Indonesia and the problems existed in L2oral teaching, this paper studies on the continuation task “talking after reading”about its functions and ways of improving the task under the theory of evaluatinginteraction by one-year research.With the experiment of recording in mandarin oral class, the author has donesome comparative analysis of the subjects, including the content of spoken expression,expression length, accuracy, etc., before and after using the teaching model, mainlyfocusing on the subjects’ repeated using of the teaching model.Meanwhile, the author provides some suggestions and advices about the teachingmethod on input and output aiming to enhance students’ interest in learning and makethe teaching efficiency.Finally, by using a questionnaire, we find that the students’ attitudes to thecontinuation task “talking after reading” also proved that the teaching model helpsimprove students’ speaking skills.
