Subjective Well–being is the people’s everlasting pursue. Employees in public sector arethe persons who supply social public service and there are positive meanings for individual,organizations and even the society to pay attention to the employees ‘s well-being and relatedfactors.This research which is on the basis of literature review and theoretical analysis put forwardthree main factors which affect public sector employees’ subjective well-being: job stress, socialsupport and psychological capital. The three factors are on the point of view of work,interpersonal relationships and self. We get the following results by questionnaire survey form(191employees)and using SPSS18.0and AMOS7.0to do statistical methods of analysis ofvariance and regression analysis to verify the data:Firstly, subjective well-being are significant differences in marital status, educationalbackground, and age. The married, low educational background, and older employees feelhappier than others. but there are not significant differences on gender and income.Secondly, Job stress has significant negative influence on subjective well-being andmeanwhile, social support and psychological capital have significant positive influence onsubjective well-being. In social support, leadership support has great influence; in psychologicalcapital, the hope effect is the largest. Social support have the most influence on subjectivewell-being among the three factors.Thirdly, gender is the moderator on job stress and subjective well-being. Relatively to men,women are more likely to feel negative relationship between the stress related to job andsubjective well-being. And gender is also moderator on psychological capital and subjectivewell-being, that is to say men are more likely to feel positive relationship between thepsychological capital and subjective well-being.Fourthly, social support, and psychological capital are not the moderators on job stress and subjective well-being.
